Special Commendation - June 11, 2017 - Wayne County Council for the Arts received a special commendation from the offices of Pam Helming, NYS Senator and Robert Oakes, NYS Assemblyman from our area recognizing our 40th year of supporting the arts. Outgoing President Mary Christopher and Incoming President Bonnie Evangelist are seen here showing off the beautiful award.
"Our Frame of Mind" - July 31-August 25, 2017 - Wayne Arts and Board of Directors Member Angela Possemato is part of a four woman photography exhibit "Our Frame of Mind" at the O'Keefe Gallery in the Skalny Welcome Center at St. John Fisher College. The reception is Friday Aug. 11, 4-7pm. The reception and gallery are free and open to the public.

1-Robert Henry won First Prize in the 2017 Palmyra Canaltown Days Art Show in the photography category. 2- The jurists at the Rochester Museum and Science Center Holiday Bazaar have invited Bob to exhibit in the Eisenhart Auditorium the Fri., Sat. & Sun. before Thanksgiving
Wayne Arts Members Angela Possemato and Marshall Handfield will be exhibiting their work at Gallery 96 in Bushnell's Basin. Both photographers had work accepted to thejuried show "Street Photography" which runs from Oct. 18- Nov. 18, 2017.

Bill Finewood will be exhibiting his art in the Geisel Gallery at One Bausch and Lomb Place from January 2-31. The reception is Friday February 2 from 5:30-7:30pm. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Five members of Wayne Arts, Marshall Handfield, Joann Long, Angela Possemato, d. dargan teska, and Michael Shoemakerhave had photos accepted in the annual Juried Photo show at Image City Photography Gallery. The exhibit runs from January 2-21. There are two receptions, Fri. Jan 5, from 5-9 and Sat. Jan 6 from 2-5pm.

Member Kathy Morris was one of 10 chosen by William (Bill) Mancuso, Art & Design Dept. Chair and Assistant Professor of Ohio Northern University for a merit award in the Genesee Valley Plein Air Painters Members’ Show at Barnes and Noble in Pittsford held in January.
Kathy will be one of the three artists of "The Dog Pack 3" holding their show “Going to the Dogs,” a collection of dog portraits by Kathy Ann Morris, Joyce Kowba and Priscilla Merrill at the Brown Hound Downtown Bistro in the
Memorial Art Gallery, Rochester. Exhibit runs until March 31.
