Guitar Sculpture & Ink Figure Experiment Workshop: 4th - 12th grade
This is a new program in 2020!
In this 10 hour workshop we will create a 3D life size painted Paper Mache cardboard sculpture of either an acoustic or electric style guitar. The students will learn and create all parts of the guitar. Their guitar body and painted designs are only limited to their imaginations.
During guitar assembling or drying times, we will also explore India ink techniques and begin an “Ink Figure” series. The students will leave with their own sketchbook, small bottle of India ink, watercolor brush and 2 black sharpies to continue working on their “Ink Figure” series.
We have WiFi so I highly recommend the students bringing their tablets or phones to google ideas for both. I will also have several guitar and art books. On our final day of the class, we will have a popular local guitarist play for the students. Parents are welcome to attend.
