Wayne County Council for the Arts has been a staple of the community for over 40 years. Since its founding in 1977 as a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization, Wayne Arts has fostered local creativity by offering classes and workshops, and exhibiting works by the finest artists in the area. With the continued support of our volunteers and members, Wayne Arts will do its part to keep the arts alive and well for many years to come.

Wayne Arts strives to offer a wide variety of opportunities for art education and appreciation. From week-long art camps for kids at the gallery, to painting "en plein air" at a scenic park, artists of every age and skill level are sure to find something that inspires them at Wayne Arts.
"If you hear a voice within you say 'you cannot paint,'
then by all means paint,
and that voice will be silenced."

"Every artist was first an amateur."
Ralph Waldo Emerson
At Wayne Arts, we count on the support of the community to keep us going. From our members who renew year after year, to the volunteers who donate their time to gallery sit, we truly appreciate every contribution in every form.
